Research progress of surface treatment for titanium alloys

摘要：

Titanium and its alloys possess high specific strength,good corrosion resistance,good high temperature properties. Titanium and its alloys are widely used in the space flight and aeronautic industries,the martial industry and domestic industry.But their low hard ness and wear-resistance confined the further applications of these materials. It is possible to improve the surface properties of these mate rials by proper surface treatment.In this paper,the applications of several surface treatment technologies on titanium and its alloys were summarized.
