Research on interface sealing materials for aero-engine turbine components
This paper focuses on conventional and innovative materials and types for sealing interfaces.It indicated the clearance control is one of the most important ways for in power systems turbomachine design and operational life,sealing becomes the most cost-effective way to enhance system performance,coatings,films,and combined use of both metals and ceramics play a major role in maintaining in terface clearances in turbomachine sealing and component life.Further,it has been shown that Interface sealing controls turbomachine leakages and dynamics ate the most cost-effective method of enhancing performance.
