Influence of the pulsed electron-beam impacts on the structural-phase conditions synthesized in the TiNi surface layers alloyed by molybdenum
It is shown that the pulsed electron-beam treatment of the TiNi surface layers coated by the molybdenum lead to a change of the structural-phase conditions within the surface volumes and mixing the substrate components (Ti and Ni) with Mo or formation of the outer layer consisting molybdenum, preferably,on the TiNi substrate. It is revealed that under the TiNi surface it is formed the layer with the B2 lattice parameter bigger than this one in the initial B2 phase when the electron-beam energy density was E1= 30 J/cm. An in crease in the B2 lattice parameter indicates that the ternary B2 phase (TiNi-Mo) is formed after the electron-beam impact. At the same time the internal volumes of the TiNi samples did not undergo substantial changes. It was found that molybdenum partially is dissolved within the surface layer of TiNi with thickness of 2 -4 μm when the electron-beam energy density was E2=15 J/cm2. This leads to a change of the lattice parameters of the bcc-Mo and B2 structures synthesized within coating and neighboring TiNi-substrate layers, corre spondingly.
