Study on preparation of high titanium ferroalloy by thermite reaction

High titanium ferroalloy which contains 65%-75% titanium is a kind of special type ferroalloys with broad applications.In the present work,the refining were done in the vacuum carbon tube furnace with crude high titanium ferroalloy as raw materials. Analyzed the production of high titanium ferroalloy by chemical analysis,XRD,SEM and energy spectrum analysis,The results shows that: the im purity containing aluminum and silicon of production were effectively reduced. The production produced at heat preservation time was 60 min and temperature was 1950 ? has a compact structure and the best integrality and continuity,moreover,chemical composition of the production meet the requirements of the high titanium ferroalloy.
