Preparation of high dielectric constant and low dielectric loss ferroelectric ceramics
Phase pure perovskite Pb(Fei1/2Nb1/2)O3-(PFN) and Pb(Sc1/2Nb1/2)O3-based (PScN) ferroelectric ceramics were prepared by conventional solid-state reaction method via a B-site oxide mixing route. The PFN- and PScN-based ceramics sintered at the optimized conditions exhibit rather homogenous microstructure and high relative density.However,the sintered PFN- and PScN-based ceramics ex hibit large dielectric loss accompanied by apparent dielectric frequency dispersion. Aging at room temperature,cycling under an alterna ting electric field or doping by small content of MnO2,MnCO3 or Ii2CO3 can decrease the dielectric loss of the PFN- and PScN-based ce ramics greatly.Furthermore,the strong frequency dispersion is suppressed greatly and the abnormally recurrent increase of dielectric con stant and loss in the paraelectric phase is reduced accordingly.
