Study of spin-coating process for the fabrication of anode-supported LSGM electrolyte films for SOFC
La0.9Sr0.1Ga0.8Mg0.2O3(LSGM) thin film electrolytes were fabricated on La0.7Sr0.3Cr0.5Mn0.5O3(LSCM) porous anode sup ports by spin-coating process.Phase formation and microstructure of the material were examined by X-ray diffraction (XRD) ,scanning electron microscopy (SEM).It was estimated the effect of various ratio of binders and modifier as well as their dosage under a certain ro tate speed of spin coater on the performance of LSGM electrolyte film.It was found that the electrolyte films with 30 μm has good adhe sion and density on condition that the slurry was consisted of LSGM powder,3 wt.% ethyl cellulose,5 wt. % terpineol and ethanol via spin-coating process with operating parameters of 3200 r/min for 40 s,and then was sintered in muffle furnace at 1450 ℃ for 8 h.
