Supercapacitors on the basis of advanced superionic conductors for future deep sub-voltage nanoelectronics

In nanoelectronics,the demand on high-capacity capacitors of micron sizes sharply increases with a decrease of technological norms and power supply voltage Vdd- Creation of high-capacity capacitors of micron size to meet the challenge of deep-sub-voltage nano electronics (i.e.integrated circuits of -1×10(11)-1×10(12)cm-2component densities) and related technologies is considered. The ne cessity of developing all-solid state impulse micron-sized supercapacitors on the basis of advanced superionic conductors (nanoionic super capacitors) is discussed. Theoretical estimates and experimental data on prototype nanoionic supercapacitors with capacity density δc ≈100 μ F/cm2 are presented.Future perspectives of nanoionic devices are discussed.
