Study on the vacuum hot pressed be materials for ITER first wall

Vacuum hot pressing Beryllium (Be) materials for HER FW is the core parts of facing plasma in ITER systems. The chemi cal composition and parts of mechanical properties of US beryllium materials (S-65C) were introduced;in the meantime,parts of specifi cation for ITER grade Be materials were listed in this article. The optimum processes for the manufacture of VHPing Be materials were de termined through the adjustment of the process parameters and the powders made by cold stream impacting.Evaluation of the results for the VHPed Be materials indicates that the chemical composition,physical and mechanical properties were satisfied with the specification of ITER grade Be materials. The specimen of the Be mock-up for qualification by ITER organization have been being prepared for HHF and fatigue inspection.
