Nanowires: fabrication on the base of porous polymer matrizes and some properties
Specially prepared porous matrixes (with through cylindrical pores and dead-end conical pores) were used as the templates (matrixes) for making ensembles of microwires. The process of electrodeposition of metal (Cu) into these pores (template synthesis) was investigated. The free-standing microwires (obtained after removing of polymer matrix) were used as the substrates (for deposition of probe) for ion emission in mass-spectrometer. These samples were also used for increase of Raman signal.Explanations of this effect and the effect of degradation of wires during emission and optical experiments are given. AFM technique was used for studying the composite material (metal microwires embedded into the polymer matrix). It was shown that combination of different modes of AFM (tapping with phase-contrast mode, contact with lateral force mode) makes it possible to detect metal in the polymer matrix. Additional spread resist ance mode in contact regime allowed to measureⅠ-Ⅴcurves and estimate the electrical conductivity of single wire. The difference between the data obtained and the data for bulk copper could be explained by oxidation, the grain structure and the size effect.
