Estimation of physicochemical interaction between the multi-filament fiber and the matriz by the wet-pull-out method during the production of composite materials

A multi-filament wet-pull-out method for estimation of physicochemical interaction between the fiber and the matrix in com posite materials reinforced with high-strength high-modulus polyethylene fiber has been developed.Controlled parameters are fiber capil lary rise h and pull-out force F. The method allows one to estimate the wettability and multi-filament fiber impregnation with liquid ma trix ,and strength of fiber-matrix joint after curing process finished. The multi-filament wet-pull-out method considers a total interaction between the matrix and filaments in a complex fiber or yarn.It is the advantage of this method in comparison with the tests of individual monofi lament.
