Fabrication of homogeneously dispersing carbon nanofibers/Cu composites
Carbon nanofiber(CNF) was coated by electroless Cu plating,and then CNF/Cu composites were sintered by sparking Plas ma Sintering(SPS) without adding Cu powder. The fracture morphology and microhardness were studied.It was observed that there was no segregation of CNFs in matrix and CNFs and Cu have good interface bonding at low volume fraction of CNFs. The hardness of Cu was reinforced by CNFs,with best value of 105.71 kg/mm2 at 31 vol.% CNF in matrix.
