On the Convergence of China’s Regional Innovation Efficiency

We evaluated the innovation efficiency of different regions in China by using DEA method, and analyzed its convergence. Our main conclusions are: innovation efficiency differs among regions, and the innovation efficiency of the central and western regions is higher than that of the eastern region. There is conditional convergence in the whole country and all regions, but there is no absolute convergence in the eastern and central regions. The human capital has remarkable influence on the convergence of innovation efficiency.
