A Joint Mode Detection and Coarse Symbol Synchronization Scheme for DVB-H

摘要：

This work presents a oint synchronization technique for DVB-H system with adaptive T mode detection,guard interval length detection,coarse symbol synchronization (CSS) and fractional carrier frequency offset (C O) estimation.Different from conventional algorithm,we develop a threshold-free scheme which is more reliable in frequency selective fading channel.Simulation results show almost 2dB performance gain compared to Threshold-based method (TBM),especially with low SNR. Also it is cost effective and power consumption is decreased by adopting this new scheme.
