Recent Developments in NorthAmerican Ironmaking

The longer term and recent trends in blast furnace performance, with increased productivity, reduced reductant consumption, and extended campaign lives are reviewed. Specific techniques leading to those results will be presented. The current raw material situation is outlined. In addition, the state of alternative ironmaking to feed eletric arc furnaces and for waste oxide processing will be reviewed.
