Research on the Binding Phase Strength of Low Silicon Sinter of Baotou Iron and Steel (Group)Co
The four factors-four levels orthogonal mini-sintering test was carried out by infrared sintering furnace. The home-made iron concentrate was taken as the main iron-bearing raw material of sinter samples. During the test course the process parameters were changed, including SiO2 content, basicity, sintering temperature and MgO content. According to the results of the experiment the sintering temperature is confirmed as the most influential factor, while SiO2content has the weakest influence to the binding phase strength. Meanwhile it has also been drawn that the sintering parameters are optimal when SiO2 content is 4.0%, basicity is 2.5, sintering temperature is 1200℃ and MgO content is 1.6%. Then mineral phases were observed and analyzed in order to verify the above-mentioned optimal sintering parameters.
