Influence of the Change in Raw Material on Blast Furnace and the Countermeasures
“Premium materials is the basic of iron-making and the prerequisite of intensifying smelting and high pulverized coal injection (PCI) ratio. In recent years, with the dramatic increase of iron and steel output, the supply of iron ore become more and more intense, and the quality of raw material for blast furnace become lower and lower. It has a strong impact on the blast furnace operation. According to the analysis on the raw material property in Baosteel, combining with the smelting mechanism of blast furnace and operation practice, this paper analyses the influences of raw materials on blast furnace, probes into the operation countermeasures to deal with the change in raw material and puts forward the optimization on blast furnace control technology to ensure the process is stable and suitable.
