Judgment Method for the Gas Gap of BF Hearth Lining

According to the theory of one dimensional radial steady and non-steady heat conduction, the heat transfer character of the problem of gas gap caused by the cracking presented in stuffing layer of blast furnace hearth linings is discussed. The definition of gas gap index Eg of lining and the judging conditions of the existence of gas gap in the blast furnace hearth lining are given. The judgment method of gas gap appearing in the blast furnace hearth lining is discussed by dynamic index of gas gap. The calculation example indicates that the method put forth is feasible.
