Smelting Reduction Ezperiment With Carbon and Bottom Blowing Hydrogen

The pressure on the shortage of resources and environmental protection restricts the development of traditional iron making industry. It is of great significance to develop the smelting reduction technology with carbon and hydrogen, and make use of hydrogen to substitute for the decreasing coke resources as important reducing agent. In this paper, C-H2 smelting reduction experiment has been carried out through induction furnace. The result shows that it is the first order reaction. The total reaction rate constant is up to 4g-Fe/cm2·min. In the scope of 1730K -1853K, the apparent activation energy is about 52.485.6 kJ/mol.
