Analysis on Engineering and Technical Characteristics of Shuangjiangkou Hydropower Project
The maximum height of Shuangjiangkou soil core rockfill dam is 314 m. The project has the total installed generating capacity of 2000 MW (4×50 MW). The dam site is located in a narrow valley and the topography and geology condition is complex. The project is characterized by compact layout and huge amount of excavation and filling.Related issues are prominent,such as design of ultra-high dam,dam construction technology,choice of filling materials and flood discharge. The paper briefly discusses the engineering and technical characteristics of Shuangjiangkou hydropower plant.
