New Construction Technologies for Qingjiang Shuibuya Concrete Face Rockfill Dam
Qingjiang Shuibuya dam is the highest concrete face rockfill dam in the world,of which the total filling quantity is 15.68 million m3.Because there are no relevant construction specifications and available construction experiences for reference,exploration and innovation of new construction technologies are necessary in construction process. A series of new technologies have been achieved and applied in this project by independent development,introduction and absorption,experimental researches,optimization and improvement,and technology integration. The engineering practices have shown that these new technologies are useful in construction and helped to obtain ideal effects and comprehensive economic benefits. And these new technologies can also provide references for construction of higher concrete face rockfill dam in the future.
