Concrete Face Slab Joint Surface Waterstop Construction of Bakun CFRD
Rock-filled concrete face-slab dam is a kind of dam which is mainly filled with rock materials with concrete face slab to prevent water seepage.Under water pressure and deadweight,this kind of dam may deform significantly and there would be expansion,shearing and settlement cracks on the face slab. As for the 200 m over high Bakun RCFD,it is very difficult to ensure the integrity of waterstop sheet due to heavy dam deformation. Therefore,as a key sector of CFRD seepage-proofing system,study and development on surface joint waterstop become important in recent years. This essay introduces the design pattern and construction method of CFRD surface waterstop under tropical rain forest climate.We hope that it would be of some reference to similar project construction.
