Assessment of the Priority Order on Maintenance Tasks for Monitoring Devices for Ezisting Earth Core Rockfill Dams in Korea

摘要：

Although readjustment of monitoring systems for earth core rockfill dam maintenance in Korea is needed by the sustainable increasing of the abandonment rate of monitoring devices by malfunction through the lifecycle of dam,monitoring plans for maintenance has been made relying on the experience and the opinion of minor expert group without systematic and quantitative analysis on the failure modes and the importance of monitoring devices.In this study the importance of monitoring devices of existing 5 earth core rockfill dams in Korea was evaluated quantitatively based on the preceding study (Andersen et al 1999) and the result recommended that the establishment of real-time monitoring system for seepage,pore pressure and crest settlement as the readjustment plan for the monitoring systems of existing earh core rockfill dam in Korea.
