Study on the Displacement Distributive Model with Impoundment Factors for High Core Earth Rockfill Dams
Considering the high reservoir level, large deformation and huge loss after dam failure of high core earth-rock dams,it is of great significance to master their deformation behaviors so as to guarantee safety and benefits in the course of impoundment and operation. The special features of dam displacement in the initial impounding period should be considered in the quantitative analysis of dam displacement study. As the deformation of high core earth-rock dams usually show a good distribution character,a displacement distribution model should be a feasible and effective method of quantitative study on deformation. Taking Xiaolangdi dam as an example,a displacement distribution model with impoundment factors is adopted to study the deformation features of high core earth-rock dams in this paper.Displacement distribution models of Xiaolangdi dam crest are established. After comparing and testing, the models are verified and could be used to monitor and forecast the deformation of Xiaolangdi dam.
