STUDY ON VISUALIZED CONVERSION TECHNOLOGY OF DISTRIBUTED AGENT-BASED CAD MODEL
Under the circumstance of collaborative research & development of PLM platform-based networked products, the demands on browse and check of WEB-based CAD model are strong. Based on the study of the distributed agent technology, the framework visualized conversion technology of distributed agent-based CAD model was developed, and verification technical route of neutral visualized conversion was designed for the heterogeneous CAD model. In accordance with the requirements of the development and implementation of an enterprise-level PLM system, the study was made to apply the distributed software agent technology into the neutral-format conversion from various CAD models (i.e.Pro/E, UG and CATIA) with software agent. With the integration of department-level PDM and enterprise-level PLM, the concentrated effective management of neutral visualized files from different CAD models could be well achieved. Besides, the conversion of Pro/E is presented as an example in this paper to provide a detailed description of the configuration and flow-process of the visualized conversion based on software agent. According to the results of verification, the feasibility of such technology framework and technical route was demonstrated to provide a minimized dependence on the network bandwidth and a better collaborative efficiency.
