Synthesis of Ba-Ferrite Nanomaterial and Its Obscuration to 1.06 μm Laser
By using citrate sol-gel auto-combustion method, M-type planar hexagonal Ba-ferrite nanomaterial was prepared. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffractometry (XRD) and thermal analysis (TG and DSC) were used to study the grain size, phase composition, microstructure and crystallization process. The results showed that M-type Ba-ferrite nanomaterial, prepared by this method, were single, and its grain size is smaller than 100 nm. Moreover, most of the grains present hexagonal sheet shape. In the end, tests were carried out for its obscuration to 1.06 μm laser. It was found that, the extinction capability of Ba-ferrite nanomaterial smoke screen is good, and its mass extinction coefficient is 1.551 m2/g.
