Study on the Damage Effects of Primary Ezplosive in Some Detonator Caused by ESD

摘要：

The damage effects of primary explosive in some detonator caused by ESD had been investigated. The damage pictures were taken using X-ray tomography, and an experimental set-up was designed to study the damage effects of primary explosive. The results show that there is no damage observed in primary explosive when ESD applied to the bridgewire. But the primary explosive is damaged in some degree when ESD applied to pin-to-cup, and the discharge created a path through the primary explosive to the grounded bridgewire.
