Non-Isothermal Method to Estimate Thermal Decomposition Kinetics of Ezplosives Using Mass Spectrometry Ion

The non-isothermal method to estimate kinetic parameters from a single curve of MS ion current vs. temperature or time in TG-MS coupling was proposed. The kinetic parameters and mechanism functions obtained by using this method from three types of nitro compounds and two types of azido compounds, including PDADN, GAP, PYX, HNS and HNIW, are in agreement with those obtained by thermal analysis kinetic methods. It is considered that the results of MS ion kinetics will advantage investigation of the initial decomposition mechanism.
