Study on Plasma Emission Spectroscopy of Laser Initiation of Ezplosives
Using a Q-Switched Nd:YAG laser (with a wavelength of 532 nm and a pulse width of 15 ns) ablate PETN and RDX in air to observe the plasma emission spectra in the ultraviolet and visible wavelength. Also, the plasma spectra of the air are compared with that of PETN and RDX. The results show that the plasma does exist in the process of laser initiation of explosives, and the notable atomic lines and ion lines mainly appear in the ultraviolet area. The ionization of the air almost does not influence plasma emission lines of PETN and RDX.
