Analysis on the Influence of Cavity Structure on Ezplosive Energy Absorbed by Metal Flyer

Two analysis models for explosive charge doing work to the metal flyer with and without cavity are built. Based on the interaction theory of shock wave and material, the initial parameters of shock wave in the metal flyer were obtained. For two conditions of the structure with and without cavity, travel time of incident wave and reflected wave in metal flyer and energy absorbed by metal flyer were calculated respectively. The analysis results showed that the energy absorbed by the metal flyer with cavity is larger more 8.6 percent than that without cavity.
