Photocatalytic Degradation of UDMH by TiO2 Supported on Porous Carbon Materials
In this study the degradation effects of liquid propellant of unsymmetrical dimethylhydrazine(UDMH) wastewater by TiO2/C process was studied. Use porous carbon materials (C) to load TiO2 by sol-gel method, which is used to degrade the UDMH wastewater. Adsorption effects of the porous carbon materials and the photocatalytic degradation ability of the composite catalysts are discussed. It is found that AC/TiO2 catalysts have the best photocatalytic ability especially with the help of H2O2. The degradation rate of UDMH by AC/TiO2 can reach 70% in 1h, and if with the help of H2O2, which can reach 99% above. The kinetic model of UDMH degradation process by TiO2/AC is established.
