Study on the methods to evaluate urban emergency groundwater sources in Yungui plateau
The amount of annual precipitation in Yungui Plateau is big relatively, but it is not well-distributed in space-time. And because of the big hypsography, the capacities of natural and manmade surface water bodies are small commonly. As water sources for domestic and industry for most cities, these surface water bodies have low ability to resist risks of water shortage and pollution. To construct emergency groundwater sources is an effective way to resist the potential risks for cities in the Plateau. Nowadays, the methods and standards of evaluating urban emergency groundwater sources in Yungui Plateau are still not established and the results of evaluating urban emergency groundwater sources in different cities are not unified. So it is very necessary to improve the methods for evaluating urban emergency groundwater sources. In this paper, as a case study, Qujing (in Yunnan province) urban emergency groundwater source has been evaluated. Based on valuating the existing methods, the disadvantage and advantage has been pointed out and the weighting of each evaluating index has been identified by using AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process). Then the FCE(Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation) has been adopted to evaluate the Qujing urban emergency groundwater source. As results, the evaluating indexes system for evaluating urban emergency groundwater source has been worked out and the reasonable emergency groundwater sources has been identified. The indexes system can be used by other plateau cities to evaluate the urban emergency groundwater sources and the identified emergency groundwater source in Qujing would be ensure the safety of water usage.
