Historic geology method analysis stability of Moluocun Landslide
Massive Ancient Blockhouses, located on the Moluoeun Landslide, are a key cultural relic preservation object of the Sichuan Province, in China as the Tibetan nationality special buildings for more than 800 years. However, the rising water level in Houziyan reservoir may pose threats to the stability of Moluocun landslide and in turn damages to the blockhouses located on the landslides. On the basis of the detailed geology surveying and testing for the Moluocun Landslide, the disintegration evolution and development trends of the landslide are revealed. According to the relationships of Quaternary sediments and the ages, the traces of deformation and failure of the special stratum, and the geological events, the historic geology of the Moluocun Landslide is analyzed and its stability is studied. It is shown that the Moluocun Landslide is stable as a whole, but local may be disintegrated as the result of small landslides, and the water level changes is a little affection to the whole stability of the Moluocun Landslide.
