Tectonic damage analysis of rock mass and geological characteristics of damaged rock mass of Daziangling Deep-buried Eztra-Long Tunnel
Da-Xiangling tunnel in Yaan- Xichang highway is deep-buried extra-long tunnel (10km long, 1680m deep), located in the composite part of the three structural systems, Longmen Shan tectonic belt, Daxiang Ling tectonic belt and Sichuan-yunnan tectonic belt, with complex tectonic setting. The geologic characteristics of the rockmass in different part have big difference due to the different tectonic influence. For study on rock mass geologic characteristics influenced by rock mass tectonic and surrounding rock geologic characteristics in different tunnel section, this assay studies on tectonic damage of the tunnel. This assay has defined the concept of rock mass tectonic damage in complex tectonic region, put forward the evaluation method for tectonic damage and evaluating the tectonic influence on rock mass integrity in dif- ferent region, and tectonic damage regional division. It is shown that due to superimposing and reworking of different tectonic system, there are great differences with rock integrality and strength in different tectonic damage regional division. The differences of physical and mechanical property by this tectonic damage have been approved through rock microscopic structure. According to analysis of tectonic damage regional division and rock integrity and mechanical property in different tectonic damage regional division, the stability of surrounding rock in tunnel can be evaluated.
