Development of VN Micro-alloying Ultra-fine Grain High Strength Steel Produced by Thin Slab Casting and Roiling

The precipitation rules of V element during continuous casting,soaking, tolling,cooling processes was studied, as well as the influence of the micro-alloy precipitation on the distortion austenite recrystallization and the ferrite transformation during the production in the thin slab casting and rolling technology (TSCR). With VN micro-alloying technology, the plate with ferrite grain size up to 3.0-4.0μm and 550 Mpa yield strength Was developed. The microalloying hish strength plate has the outstanding toughness,cold forming performance and good welding performance,which completely satisfy the demand of automobile and mechanical industry.
