Study on Microstructure and Cold Deformation Mechanism of Ultra High Strength Fe-Mn-C TWIP
The microstructure of Twinning Induced Plastic (TWIP) steel during tensile deformation was investigated with in-situ SEM and TEM observation. The crystallography texture of vary rolling steel was investigated with X- Ray Diffraction (XRD) instrument. The results showed that there are three modes of plastic deformation. Its are dislocation gliding and deformation twins and shear bands during tensile test in the Fe-Mn-C TWIP steel. Different modes of plastic deformation mechanism played primary role during its deformation periods. The interruption and coordination of the deformation mechanisms induced the high strength and high plasticity of this steel.
