Microstructures and Properties of Continuous Annealing DP1000 Dual Phase Steel

1000 MPa grade dual phase steels were piloted in laboratory. Optical microscopy,scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscope and tensile tests were used to characterize the microstructures and to determine the mechanical properties. The results indicate that soaked at 830℃,then rapidly cooled to 240℃ ,the dual phase steel can get excellent mechanical properties. The yield strength was 535 MPa,the tensile strength was 1145 MPa,the yield ratio was 0.47 and the elongation percentage was 13% ;The tensile strength reduced with increasing the over-ageing temperature. The yield strength,the yield ratio and the elongation percentage increased the increasing the over-ageing temperature. There was yield point at 360℃.
