Finite Element Simulation of the Stamping Process for a Car Inner Door Sheet
Finite element simulation of sheet-metal stamping is very important for automobile sheet supplier in the application technology research and its customer service. The basic theory of FEM for metal-sheet forming and the general calculation process were introduced briefly in this paper. The stamping process for the inner door sheet of a car was simulated using the professional software Pam-stamp 2G 2008. And the effects of different friction on the stamping results were analyzed. Finally,the appropriate process parameters were obtained by the numerical simulation analysis.
