Study on the phase diagram of water-salt system for developing bloedite mine resource

In order to develop bloedite(Na2SO4-MgSO4?4H2O)resource, the separation technology of bloedite has been discussed according to the phase diagram of ternary system Na2SO4-MgSO4-H2O. The appropriate technology conditon was determined as follows:the mixture of bloedite and water with weight ratio 1:1.54 was dissolve by mixing, then cooled rystallization at 0℃, the Na2SO4·10H2O was first obtained. The mother solution after Na2SO4·10H2O separation was concentrated by vaporizing water, then cooled crystallization at 25℃, the MgSO4·7H2O was obtained again. Because the composition of mother solution after MgSO4·7H2O separation was located in the crystallization regions of double salt or salt mixture, this mother solution was not separated again by the mothed of evaporation and crystallization. the most yields of Na2SO4 and MgSO4 producing from bloedite mine were 94.14% and 56.54% respectively.
