Influences of Additives on the Crystal Habit of Potassium Chloride
Potassium Chloride is an indispensable element in plant growth, as well as the basic materials of potash production. The crystal shape of potassium chloride directly influences its usage performance especially in agriculture, so it is necessary to research the crystal habit of potassium chloride. By the method of constant speed cooling crystallization, the influences of seven additives, including lead chloride, cadmium chloride, potassium permanganate, formamide, sodium salicylate, quarternary ammonium salt, sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate, on crystal habit of KCl were investigated1-3.
