The Effect of Additive on Fumaric Acid Crystal Habit
The fumaric acid is a important industrial raw material. It can replace the apple acid and the citric acid in the food industry; It is the intermediates of medicine in the pharmaceuticals. It also can be widely used in the Organic Synthesis. The yield and purity of the fumaric acid are effected by the different of crystal habit. In this paper, the effects of different additive on fumaric acid crystal habit were studied and we found out the possible mechanism of additive. The results show that organic additives and surface active agents can improve the fumaric acid crystal habit effectively.
