Simutaneous Determination of Nine Active Components in Traditional Chinese Medicine ‘Xue-Fu-Zhu-Yu’ Capsule by LC-ELSD

A reliable and accurate LC-ELSD method was developed for simultaneous determination of eight constituents in ‘Xue-Fu-Zhu-Yu’ capsule, a widely used prescription of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). The chromatographic separation was performed on a Symmetry C18 column (150mm×4.6mm, 5.0μm) using gradient elution of acetonitrile, methanol and water (containing 1.0% acetic acid). The flow rate was 0.5 mL/min and the temperature of column was 30℃. A good linearity correlation (R2>0.9954) was obtained over the investigated concentration ranges. Recoveries of the nine components varied from 95.47 to 103.12% (RSD %< 5.0%). The validated method was successfully applied to the simultaneously determination of these active components in‘Xue-Fu-Zhu-Yu’ capsule from different production batches.
