A Virtual Binocular Vision Range Finding Method of Remote Object Based on Single Rotating Angle Indezing Camera
Based on binocular stereo vision sensor measurement model,a kind of low cost single rotating angle indexing camera method used to measure distance of a remote object was presented in this paper. A single camera was mounted on a rotating platform, which was driven by a step motor or equipped with an angle encoder,so that the rotating angle of camera could be indexed. Two parallax images which projected by the same object could be collected by the single camera in different space positions, and then the distance could be retrieved. A perspective projection model of rotating single camera was established, and a directional searching method of matching feature points was discussed. Experiment results showed that a relative accuracy about 3% could be achieved, which indicated this method was rational and feasible.
