Analysis Framework for Networked Control Systems of Multiple Guided Weapons: Switched System Approach

In network centric warfare, multiple guided weapons cooperative engagement become a major battle manner to achieve specific tactical operations. However, because the time delay and packet dropout persistently exist during the information transmission through the data links and data bus, the dynamics of multiple guided weapons system becomes complex and is difficult to perform stability and performance analysis. In this study, we analyze the system dynamics of multiple guided weapons cooperative engagement form the view of networked control system (NCS), and such NCS is formulated as a discrete-time switched systems with arbitrary switching. By this analysis framework, we achieve a sufficient condition which guarantees the stability of multiple guided weapon systems. Application to a single guided weapon with the information transmitting based on data bus is illustrated, where the bounded uncertain access delay as well as packet dropout are considered, and the results show the effectiveness of the proposed analysis framework.
