Towards An Efficient Prototype of RPC Detector Readout System in the Daya Bay Neutrino Ezperiment
The Daya Bay RPC readout system is responsible for collecting Muon hit events for the anti-neutrino procedure. And the expected readout system should be capable of converting analog hit signals from RPC (Resistance Chamber Plate) detectors into digital signals which will be buffered and then uploaded to online DAQ (Data Acquisition) systems as well as reporting trigger information. The numerous and relatively minute pulses from the detectors require for accurate discriminating techniques and robust data transmitting methods. Herein the crucial designs as well as the tests of the prototype system are introduced and further scope of the entire system is also outlined.
