Comparison of Forage Production and Feed Quality of Italian Ryegrass and Silage Barley Mizture Rate

1. Introduction This experiment was conducted to comparison of forage production and feed quality of Italian ryegrass and silage barley mixture rate at 2008. 2. Materials and Methods The experiment was arranged in a randomized block design with seven replications. The study were Barley (Youngyangbori), Italian ryegrass(Hwasan 101) and Italian ryegrass(Kowinearly) of single seeding and four treatment of mixture rate (Barley+Hwasanl0l 30 and 70%, Barley+Kowinearly 30 and 50%). This experiment was conducted to during winter at paddy field of YoungJu, Suncheon, Jeongeup and Seocheon 3. Results and Discussions Fresh and dry matter yield of Barley 50%+Kowinearly 50% mixture rate were higher as 30,903kg/ha and 8,775kg/ha comparing barley single seeding (25,624kg/ha and 7,546kg/ha). Table 2 showed crude protein content(CP) and total digestible nutrient (TDN), Acid detergent fiber(ADF) and neutral detergent fiber(NDF) contents were desirable for using Barley 50%+Kowinearly 50% mixture rate.
