Salt Characteristics and Ecological Effects under Arid Environmental Background
Salt has close relation with land quality in arid area. Spatial and temporal change between water and salt is quite complicated, especially in the inland river catchments. Ecological effect is quite obvious depending on the coupling between salt and water of the SPAC. As a result of the unreasonable irrigation mode, the soil salinization problems have become more and more acute. According to the statistical data and general survey data, analyzed on the dynamic changes of water and salt, discussed on salt features and ecological effects in the Weigan river catchments. The balance between water and salt is quite important for improving the efficiency of irrigation water and preventing secondary salinization in the arid area. The environmental management should be considered in the catchments.
