Study on Photovoltaic Solar Cell Cooling System

A method of cooling the photovoltaic solar cell is introduced. The relative characteristic about the design and the application of the cooling device (PV/T collector) are calculated and introduced, the dimension influence on the performance of the cooling device is discussed. According to the efficiency and produce cost, appropriate dimension with the fin height between 10-20 mm and fin space between 20-40 mm, which makes better cooling effect is decided. The experiments of comparison on electric performances are carried out, with the reduction of the cell’s temperature to 10 , an average electric efficiency increase 10%, the cooling effect is remarkable. A new method of how to make the joint box (water chamber) is proposed, and the strength of the heat collector is improved. Some problems about the assemblage are discussed. All these works have a guiding significance to practical work.
