Water Resources Vulnerability Assessment Based on the Fuzzy Optimum Selection Method: a Case Study of Zhangjiakou Region, Guanting Reservoir Basin in North China
This paper analyzed the influencing factors of the water resources vulnerability (WRV) and construct ed the index system for the WRV assessment. The index system including hydrological subsystem, socio-economic subsystem, eco-environmental subsystem and hydraulic engineering subsystem gave consideration to both surface water and groundwater; water quantity and water quality. The index system had the characteristics of multiple layers and multiple objectives. A model based on the fuzzy optimum selection theory was constructed to analyze and assess the WRV of Zhangjiakou region in Guanting reservoir basin, which is one of the most important water sources of Beijing city. The assessment results have shown that the WRV of Zhangjiakou City is the largest, while that of Zhuolu County is the least. The assessment results are accordant with the actual situation. Therefore this method can be well used to the assessment and comparative study of regional WRV.
