Studies on Urease Activity and the Release of Nitrogen and Its Control in Aquaculture Pond Sediments

Taking Dongli district and XiQing district aquaculture ponds in Tianjin as experimental objects, we studied the relationship between hydrolysis organic nitrogen forms in sediment and NH4 +-N contents in overlying water, urease activity and organic nitrogen forms in sediment, urease activity in sediments and NH4 +-N contents in overlying water. Different treatments were taken to control the activity of urease. The results show that Ami. Acid N, Amm. N, Ami.sug. N in sediments and NH4 +-N in overlying water is positive correlation significantly. The relationship between Amm. N, Ami. Acid N and urease activity is positive correlation significantly. Various organic N forms direct effect order on urease activity is amm. N (0.652)>Ami.sug. N (0.152)>HUN (0.126)>Ami. Acid N (-0.021); Urease activity in sediment and NH4 +-N content in overlying water kept the same change as time went by. By adding enzyme inhibitors, zeolite and bacteria, urease activity will be inhibited, among which enzyme inhibitors can reach the best effect.
