Investigation on Organic Pollutants and Heavy Metals in the Leachate of Datui Shan Landfill in Jiangmen
Landfill leachate, which contains rich amount of organic pollutants and heavy metals, is a very dangerous foe for the environment if it is unsuitable treated. In order to treat the leachate properly, analyzing the complex constituents should be important. The inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry method (ICP-MS) and gas chromatograph-mass spectrometer method (GC-MS) were used to measure the concentration of heavy metals and organic pollutants in the landfill leachate of Datuishan landfill, which is sited in Jiangmen. 47 kinds of organic pollutants and 42 kinds of heavy metals were detected in the leachate. Among them, many organic pollutants and heavy metals belonged to the list of environmental priority pollutant for example Cr, Pb, Ni, Cu, Zn, Cd, Ti, Se, As and Hg, especially, Cr and Zn concentration was up to 25.35 ug/L and 22.56 ug/L, relatively. Based on the result above, it should be necessary to pay more attention to the dangerous harm of leachate during controlling leachate pollution.
